Chop the cabbage into small pieces. Slice the green onions, including the green section of the onions. Cut the carrots into matchstick pieces.

Break up the Ramen noodles. Reserve the seasoning packet for the dressing. Place all ingredients into a salad bowl.

Mix the canola oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and seasoning packet from the Ramen Noodle Soup together with a small whisk. Toss the salad. Pour the dressing over the salad and serve.

Storage Tips

Rice Vinegar: Rice vinegar will last five years stored on your pantry shelf.

Sesame Oil: Sesame oil will last six months on your pantry shelf and one year in the fridge. While sesame oil gives the salad a depth of flavor, you can make it without it.

Canola Oil: Canola oil has a one year shelf-life in your pantry.

Ramen Noodle Soup: This soup has a one year shelf-life in your pantry.

Sliced or Slivered Almonds: Packaged almonds have about a year shelf-life. Always heck the "best by" date on the package.
