Halloween Spider Wreath
When I saw the Eek! sign and spider at the dollar store, I couldn't help myself. I had to make a dollar store door wreath for Halloween.

We lived on an acre of orange trees in San Diego for twenty-two years. The ants loved the oranges and the spiders loved the ants. These weren't just any spiders, they were large tunnel spiders. My kids have been SCARED of spiders ever since. Even my daughter that worked at the Wild Animal Park and carried boa constrictors around her neck through the park is afraid of spiders.
Pictured Process
You will need 5 packages of orange mesh, a package of orange tinsel stems, black tinsel stems, a 14" wire wreath frame, a black spider, one roll of black spider web ribbon, and an Eek! sign.

Cut the orange mesh into (48) 10" pieces and 24 of the orange tinsel stems in half.

Place a tinsel stem on the middle wires of the wreath.

Gather down the middle of a 10" mesh piece with your fingers, and twist it into place with the tinsel stem.

Push the bundle into place at the end of the section. Continue this process until you have 8 bundles in each section.

Next, take the black spider web ribbon and a black tinsel stem. Tie the ribbon off at the end and attach it to the wreath. Measure 9 inches and tie the ribbon off at the 9" mark with another black tinsel stem. Attach this to the 8th orange bundle on the back of the wreath. You will have to poke the tinsel stem down through the orange gathered bundles, making a hole with your finger from the back.

Continue until you have gone all the way around the wreath with the spider web ribbon.

Paint the Eek! sign black. Coil the ends of 4 tinsel stems so you can hot glue them to the back of the Eek! sign.

Place a black tinsel stem through the wire on the back of the spider.

Attach the Eek! sign and the spider to the wreath with the tinsel stems and hang it on your door with a wreath hanger.

Happy Halloween!
