A homemade thousand island dressing, buttery dijon sauce, finely chopped cabbage, corned beef, and swiss cheese all on a homemade pretzel bun. Life. Is. Good.
A Reuben sandwich isn't for everybody. But it's a true love for those of us who enjoy them, especially when you put it on a homemade pretzel bun.
Mix all dressing ingredients together in a small container with a lid and place in the refrigerator. The dressing will firm up a bit as it sits.
Make your pretzel buns! Or, alternatively, you can put it on any bread or bun. I HIGHLY recommend putting it on those yummy homemade pretzel buns though. HIGHLY!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Make the buttery dijon sauce by whisking the ingredients in a small bowl.
Cut your pretzel buns in half and place the bottom halves of each bun in a 9 x 13 pan (or whatever it fits in). Layer dressing, meat, cheese, and cabbage on the bottom half of each bun.
Drizzle the buttery dijon sauce over the cabbage. Place the top half of the buns on their bottom counterparts.
Cover the pan with foil and cook for 15-20 minutes.
